Bari with the family: homes and ideas for the little ones

With children, space is everything. Look for spacious apartments, with more bedrooms and a living area where you can be together, and ideally two bathrooms, so the morning doesn’t turn into a queue. Our largest homes sleep up to six guests and, on request, we provide a cot for the little ones.

Having a real kitchen is precious when travelling with children: their meals, unhurried breakfasts, a simple dinner at home on the evenings when going out is too much. We’re happy to help you choose the most comfortable place based on your group.

Bari has the sea within the city. The city beach of Pane e Pomodoro, in the Japigia area, is the free lido where the locals take their children for a swim; the north seafront, towards San Girolamo, offers quieter beaches and rocks. The 2 Giugno park is the green lung where the little ones can run.

The monumental seafront, long and flat, is perfect for a family walk or a bike ride, with the obligatory gelato halfway along.

Bari food is family-friendly: focaccia, panzerotti, simple pasta and pizza please everyone, cost little and are found everywhere. Orecchiette with tomato are a classic that brings young and old together, and a gelato in the square rounds off every day nicely.
